WHY DOES YOUR PREACHER SAY...........?

The question is why does your preacher say things that are contrary to Scripture? An antithetical approach to teaching, obvious, fact found in the Bible is at best puzzling.

WHY DOES YOUR PREACHER SAY; once your name is written in the book of life it cannot be erased?

Jesus said it is possible to have your named removed from the book of life.
Revelation3:1-5.....2 Wake up, and strengthen the things that, remain, which were about to die; for I have not found your deeds completed in the sight of My God. 3 So remember what you have received and heard; and keep it, and repent. Therefore if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come to you. 4 But you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their garments; and they will walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. 5 He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments; and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

WHY DOES YOUR PREACHER SAY; the resurrection of Jesus was not bodily, but a spiritual resurrection?

Jesus said His resurrection was bodily. (Luke 24:37-39)

WHY DOES YOUR PREACHER SAY; Jesus is just one of many ways to the Father?

Jesus said no man comes to the Father but through Him. (John 14:4-6)

WHY DOES YOUR PREACHER SAY; water baptism is not essential for salvation?

The apostle Peter said baptism now saves you. (1 Peter 3:20-21)

WHY DOES YOUR PREACHER SAY; only a select few have been chosen, by God, to be saved?

Jesus said whoever believes in Him shall have eternal life. (John 3:16)

WHY DOES YOUR PREACHER SAY; your sins are forgiven the moment you believe in Jesus?

The apostle Peter said after you believe you have to repent and be baptized to have your sins forgiven. (Acts 2:38)

WHY DOES YOUR PREACHER SAY; God wants all to perish except the ones He selected before the world began?

Peter said God wants no man to perish. (2 Peter 3:9)

WHY DOES YOUR PREACHER SAY; water baptism is not essential for your salvation?

Jesus said you have to believe and be baptized in order to be saved. (Mark 16:16)

WHY DOES YOUR PREACHER SAY..........?

IS JESUS GOD?

Is Jesus God? Yes, but He is not God the Father.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Jesus was, and is God.

John 1:3 All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.

Jesus was the creator of all things. Only God is the creator.

John1:14 And the Word became flesh , and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Jesus came to to earth as God incarnate.

2 Peter1:1 .....To those who have received a faith of the same kind as ours, by the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The apostle Peter refers to Jesus of God.

Matthew 1:23 "BEHOLD, THE VIRGIN SHALL BE WITH CHILD AND SHALL BEAR A SON, AND THEY SHALL CALL HIS NAME IMMANUEL," which translated means, "GOD WITH US."

Jesus was God in the flesh and is now God at the right hand of the Father.

JESUS IS GOD, HOWEVER,  HE IS NOT GOD THE FATHER.

There are some who quote Isaiah 9:6 as proof that Jesus is God the Father

Isaiah 9:6 For a child will be born to us, a son will be  given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.

Jesus has the divine nature of the Father, but He is not the Father.

1 Corinthians 15:24-28 then comes the end, when He hands over the kingdom to the God and Father, when He has abolished all rule and all authority and power. 25 For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. 26 The last enemy that will be abolished is death............28 .....then the Son Himself also will be subjected to the One who subjected all things to Him, so that God may be all in all.

In the end, Jesus will be in subjection to God the Father. Jesus is not going to put Himself into subjection to Himself.

Jesus said pray to the Father. He did not tell us to pray to Himself. (Matthew6:6-9)

JESUS IS GOD, BUT HE IS NOT GOD THE FATHER.

There is one God in three persons THE FATHER-THE SON-THE HOLY SPIRIT.

BIBLE STUDY

Bible study without prayer is like an automobile without oil, it works for awhile, but will not get you to your destination.

To find the truth, man must seek God's truth, not search the Scriptures to affirm his own preconceived thoughts or substantiate man-made traditions.

Searching the Scriptures only works when men sincerely seek to discover God's will and His truth.

IF THE GOAL OF BIBLE STUDY IS TO CORROBORATE, AUTHENTICATE, CONFIRM, OR JUSTIFY THE RELIGIOUS VIEWS ALREADY HELD, IT COULD EASILY BECOME AN UNPRODUCTIVE ENDEAVOR.
